Recent Work

  • Currently conducting a classification and pay study for non-union employees in two counties including updating all job descriptions
  • Completed an FLSA study to determine the exempt or non-exempt status of 340 non-union employees of a 3rd Class County
  • Completed a classification and pay study for a 5th Class County and recommended a new salary system that will save approx. $375,000 in future wage costs.  We also completed a financial analysis and a restructuring of the operations of their county-owned landfill which will save approx. $450,000 per year and increase the efficiency and profitability of the landfill.
  • A Pennsylvania County recently retained our firm to develop their newly created human resources department. Initially, we will design the organizational structure, describe the functions, duties and responsibilities for employees within the department, conduct a classification and pay analysis for non-union employees, update all job descriptions, draft personnel policies/procedures, create an employee handbook, review their labor contracts and recommend changes to reduce labor costs, and develop a strategic plan for the department.
